SENSORY DROP-IN

Come as you are …

We hold free Sensory Drop-In sessions here at St George’s Church for families with children with additional needs.

This includes children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, Tourettes, SEMH, adoption, trauma, school avoidance … and any other needs … no diagnosis is needed, just come as you are.

You are warmly welcome to drop in and try out our friendly sessions. We have: sensory equipment for movement and regulation (mats, therapy balls, mini trampolines, scooter boards, sensory tents), Lego, play doh, a quiet area.

There is lots of space here to hang out alongside others and be yourself, with as little or as much interaction as you want.

Each session is followed by a short, sensory-style Blessing in the Chapel for 15 minutes - please feel free to opt in or out of this as you wish.

The drop-in is open to all families, of all backgrounds, and we look forward to welcoming you to be here just as you are.

Our next sessions are:

Sat 13 Jan, 27 Jan, 10 Feb, 24 Feb, 9 Mar 2024, all 3.30pm to 5.00pm.

Each session is followed by a short sensory-style Blessing in the Chapel for 15 minutes - please feel free to opt in or out of this as you wish.

Booking:

There is no need to book, but please email us to let us know if you’re hoping to come along, to give us an idea of numbers: send@stgeorgestufnellpark.org

PLEASE NOTE:

Our safety requirement is for all children to have a 1:1 ratio of adult supervision at the drop-in sessions. Parent/carers must ensure you bring one adult per child, and it is your responsibility to supervise your child closely throughout the session. Thank you for your understanding!

Lending Library:

We offer sensory equipment to borrow, to try at home with your child. Items include therapy balls, wobble cushions, weighted blankets, and books. There is no cost, but we ask you to sign a pledge that you will return the equipment to us in two weeks.
