Spring Restart Party 2026

Restore Your Broken Tech at Our Restart Party

Got a broken toaster, a tired lamp, or a glitchy gadget gathering dust? Don’t throw it away: bring it along to our Restart Party instead!

We are thrilled to be bringing back this community event. St George’s is blessed to have a friendly team of volunteer fixers from The Restart Project who will work with you to diagnose problems and, where possible, repair small electrical items and household appliances. It’s a hands‑on, collaborative session where you can learn how your things work and pick up practical repair skills along the way.

Why come along?

  • Reduce waste and save money by repairing instead of replacing

  • Learn useful, hands‑on repair skills

  • Meet like‑minded people who care about sustainability

  • Keep well‑loved items going for longer

Refreshments and snacks will be available while you wait, so you can relax and chat while your item is assessed.

Before you Arrive…

To help things run smoothly, please:

  • Check whether your item is still under warranty

  • Back up any important data

  • Bring chargers, leads, and make sure devices are fully charged

  • Get in touch in advance if you’re unsure whether your item is suitable

A few important notes

  • Repairs aren’t guaranteed (though The Restart Project is proud to have successfully fixed over half of the items brought to its volunteers)

  • Spare parts aren’t usually available on the day, but we can help you identify and source them

  • No microwaves, please

Bring your item(s), your curiosity, and help give your electronics a second life!
