A Taste of Community: Contribute to St. George’s Cookbook Project

At St. George’s, we believe food is more than nourishment. It is an expression of love, memory, and faith. That is why we are creating a special parish cookbook to celebrate the sacred role food plays in our spiritual and communal lives. Whether it is the soup that comforted you during a time of grief, the cake that marked a joyful celebration, or the simple meal that brought your family together after a long day, we would love to hear your story.

What You Can Share

We welcome contributions that reflect the communal and spiritual significance of food in your life. You might include:

  • A recipe tied to a personal or spiritual moment

  • A short reflection or story about the dish

  • A quote or Bible verse that connects to your experience

  • A photo of the dish or of you preparing it

Cookbook Sections Will Include

  • Weddings and Celebrations

  • New Mothers and Comfort

  • Busy Work Weeks

  • Grief and Healing

  • Festive Seasons (Advent, Easter, Pentecost)

  • Community Gatherings (picnics, potlucks, and more)
