Remembrance Sunday

On Sunday 12 November we will start our service a little early (just before 11am), so we can hold a two minute silence from 11am to remember those who have died in conflict. The service will include prayers for those whose lives have been affected by war, as well as prayers for peace.

The prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament speaks of a time when God's kingdom is fully realised:

"they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
    and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
    neither shall they learn war any more".

This is our prayer for today.
